Collaboration with external national (and international) stakeholders is a fundamental element that permits Swissmedic to carry out its legal mandate, agreement. Ensuring that therapeutic products are safe is an overriding priority.
Collaboration is based on a relationship that creates and maintains trust, and one that promotes mutual understanding.
National network
The following stakeholder groups comprise Swissmedic’s national network:
- Patients / consumers and their associations / organisations
- Healthcare professionals
- The therapeutic products industry and its associations / organisations
- Service providers from the therapeutic products industry
- Cantonal and Federal authorities and Parliament
In this connection, stakeholders are those persons or groups that are concerned either by Swissmedic's legally mandated activities or the measures resulting thereof, or who have legal entitlements regarding Swissmedic's activities.
Participation by Swissmedic in external further training initiatives
Swissmedic is becoming increasingly involved in the area of initial and further training of experts in the therapeutic products sector. Swissmedic experts take part in further training initiatives organised by third parties in the form of individual addresses.
